How many times have you taken out your expensive DSLR camera and used it in Auto because any of the other modes “just don’t make sense”? How many times have you told yourself that you’re going to go through the instruction manual and learn how to use Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or even full-on Manual mode?
In my chats with numerous people, I’ve heard far too many people saying that all they do with their DSLRs is use it in Auto and it pains me to hear that! You spend all that money, and for what? The pictures will definitely turn out better than the ones you took with your phone (most of the time), but they will never be the best that your camera can do and you know you want that.
With this in mind, here’s what I have to offer you. I will spend 3 hours with you teaching you how to use your camera – ideally broken up into 1 hour of face to face instruction and 2 hours of practical photography around your neighbourhood, the Melbourne CBD or even the Dandenongs or Williamstown.
During the instruction period, I will go over the features of your camera, the various modes and what they mean – explaining to you everything you need to know to get the most of your camera.
During our walkabout, we will go ahead and utilise the knowledge that you gained in our instruction period – learning about the effects of changing the ISO, exposure, aperture and shutter speed in real time.
At the end of the day, the more you practice, the more you get used to something – but unless you know what you’re doing, you’re going to be hitting and missing for a long time. Only resulting in more pictures being taken in Auto!
If you’d like to have additional people join the sessions, I’m happy for up to 3 more people to join at $99 per person. Just leave me a note at the time of purchase and I’ll send you an invoice for the additional participants.
